Abd-ar-Rahman III was borned in the 11 January 889/91 to 15 October 961) was the emir and Caliph of Cordoba (912–961) of the Ummayad family in Al-Andalus. He was the emir of the caliphate of cordoba, and reigned for half a century as the most powerful prince of Iberia peninsula. people of all religions enjoyed tolerance.
He was important because the caliphate of Cordoba was the most luxurios and powerful period of Al-Andalus. He made a very impressive palace called Medina Azahara.

Abd Al Rahman III: I was an emir first but then i say to the Abassids that i would not follow in anything so i convert myself into a caliph and my territories the caliphate of Cordoba.
Anas:Are you the most important caliph?
Abd Al Rahman III: I was the most important caliph because my period was the most powerful and luxurious in the Iberian península
